Luke's Baptism

This past weekend was Luke's baptism. Josh's family came into town, and it was a lot of fun. Josh and Erika had a big cook-out at their house Saturday night. Bliss and Tatum wore their "princess dresses" with tootoos. When I took Bliss out of her's to get her ready for bed, Tatum was very concerned of why I had taken her princess dress off, and has asked me what I did with Bliss's princess dress more than once this week :)
Tatum, striking a pose.

The "man" of the weekend with his godparents (aunts & uncles), cousins, and parents.

Friends!

So . . . . I haven't exactly perfected my blogging skills, so these pictures are in reverse, but you get the idea . . . .

Erika, Tatum, Luke, Bliss, and I have been going over to our friend's, Keith, Sherry, Avery, and Eden's house about once a week for a play date. Keith is the pastor at Indiana Baptist Church where Clint and I have been going. Avery is 2 months older than Tatum, and Eden is 2 months older than Luke and Bliss. Here are Tatum and Avery cooling off after "a swim." I love their blonde pigtails!

On August 20th, Bliss and I flew to Dallas to see our friends, Clint, Lana, and Madelyn. We had a great weekend. Bliss did pretty good on the flights, but was a little fussy over the weekend. We went a walk at an awesome nature preserve and had a cook-out. It was GREAT getting to see Clint, Lana, and Madelyn.

Back to the playdates in Lubbock: Tatum and Avery really enjoy dressing up as princesses. (I guess I should let everyone know that the bruise on Tatum's cheek came from a bad fall on a chair a couple days before :)

Eden and Bliss really enjoy their playtime :)

Eden especially likes playing with Bliss's "hair."

Just because she's cute

I thought this outfit was hilarious because it came with a doorag (sp??) and just had to share.
Clint made it home post call early one Sunday. He had gotten 5 hours of sleep on a 30 hour shift and thought it would be enough to make it through the day . . . . he tried:)

Sleeping & watching TV

We have been trying to keep Bliss from watching T.V. But she will really crane her little head around to try to get a sneek peak at the T.V.

When Clint is on call, she will sleep in the bassinet in our room instead of the crib in her nursery. She really does great sleeping through the night, especially when she's swaddled, but she's such a wiggle worm. Each night she starts our tightly swaddled and at the head of the crib or bassinet and each morning, she manages to wiggle that swaddle loose and ends up at the foot of the bed. It's really funny to watch her shimmy down in her sleep. She'll kick up her little legs and move down like an inch worm.
